In 2005 the Redskins added a second state
championship (2000) trophy to the case, winning the inaugural THSLL Division
2 state championship in sound fashion. In 2006 they made it back to the
D2 championship game, losing to area rival Kingwood.
Coach Scott Moorhead was able to use that
06 run for experience and in 2007, in his second year, the Redskins returned
to the D1 level to finish 5th overall in Houston. The Redskins should
be even stronger in 2008 as a core group of sophomores and juniors have
another year of experience, and goalie Meg Gibson will be back for a third
year.
