This new program at an established all-girls private school that has a strong athletic program is already looking to make waves in 2010, and has the potential to challenge for supremacy in Division 2.
They had over 120 girls show interest in the fall offseason, and will field a varsity and two JV teams in just their first year of play. Several players began their careers in the Lamar and Bellaire programs, but now look forward with pride to being able to represent their school.
Head coach is Danielle Jones, who played high school lacrosse at Bellaire before helping anchor the defense for #12 nationally ranked University of Texas women's club squad the last four years.
